Oversized trend

10.10.2017 — by VD

Oversized outfit is not a crime anymore ! 2017 is a year of total comfort, bright outfits and oversized silhouettes. You can choose what’s the best for you – from a big father’s jacket to boyfriend’s trainers. Fashionistas prefer to wear super-oversized coats, bags, blouses and even sunglasses. One of the first brands who started the trend was VETEMENTS with their “Titanic” oversized hoodie with long sleeves. At the same time Balenciaga, J.W.Anderson, Gosha Rubchinsky and other brands represented crazy oversized outfits. 2 years ago nothing could seem like a crazy big silhouette, but it happened. By this month, everybody is falling for comfy outfits more and more. even Kylie Jenner wears L sizes in her own way. But where does this big silhouette comes from? Mostly, it came to fashion in 80’s when businesswomen came out for new vacancies and big salaries instead of their men. After women became independent, they could become real fashion icons. In 80’s the lines of jackets became bigger and trousers  changed into must haves – it was impossible to wear them without high heels – too long and too much fabrics.

With oversized silhouette goes brutality and sexiness. Milan, London and Paris were full of well-dressed fashionistas. 2017 trend did not get heavy so fast, more oversized clothes is waiting for us in 2018 !
